March 14 Birthday
March 14 is Pi Day (3/14), recognized officially by the US Congress in 2009. It is also Albert Einstein's birthday (1879) and the day Stephen Hawking died (2018). Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany, and did not speak fluently until age four. His parents worried. He later said, "I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious." Hawking was born exactly 300 years after Galileo's death, and died on Einstein's birthday. Physicists call these coincidences "the Galileo-Einstein connection," though they are almost certainly meaningless. People born on March 14 fall under the zodiac sign of Pisces. The birthstone is Aquamarine and the birth flower is Daffodil. Historical events on March 14 include 1879: Einstein born, 1964: Jack Ruby convicted of killing Lee Harvey Oswald, 2018: Stephen Hawking dies. Famous people born on March 14 include Albert Einstein (1879), Billy Crystal (1948), Simone Biles (1997).
